Image
Do you have a pair of old jeans that are plain and boring? Are you about to get rid of a pair that fit okay, but are too short so you can't wear them anymore? Don't worry, you can turn old into new with this project! What : DIY Upcycled Denim Shorts Materials Needed: old jeans, scissors, ruler, marker 1. Lay the jeans flat in front of you. 2. Mark where you want to cut them. If you want to draw perfectly straight lines, you can use a ruler. 3. Cut along your markings. You can cut your jeans in a jagged way for an edgy feel or straight and neat for a crisper look. 4. Roll up the hem. 5. Optional: Pull out threads and tear the edges artfully for, well, edginess.  6. Optional: Or instead, make a ton of snips upwards from the hem for boho fringe. 7: Optional: Cut out a long narrow piece of lace and use fabric glue to attach along the hem of the jeans for a sweeter look. To add sparkle, sew on rhinestones and sequins to the pockets, or pretty embroidery.
